Kimberlie Hansen, an 11th-grade student at Eureka Springs High School and president of the Interact Club, presented a $500 check to Jack Smith, Eureka Springs Rotary Foundation Chairman. The money will be used for drilling a water well in Nicaragua. The students earned the money through competitions during last year's blood drives. The money was matched by the Eureka Springs Rotary Club, and then another $1,000 was added by Rotary District 6110. The $2,000 total will be used immediately for the Nicaraguan water well project.
